19th International Iron Ore Symposium Germany 2013 – On Jun 9-11, 2013, at Hotel Leonardo Royal, Moosacher Strasse 90, D-80809 Munich, Germany.
It is fair to say that the iron ore market has been a real rollercoaster in the past year. With volatility of prices exceeding expected levels, the industry has been facing some major ups and downs. Unbalanced demand from the European steel sector and a real threat of decreasing demand from China posed some real structural questions that the industry should address.
Traditional iron ore producers like India are being challenged by mining bans and rising export taxes and prospective miners in the politically risky region of West Africa are also facing continuous difficulties bringing their production on line. All that coupled with the unbalanced ore demand in China makes the market's supply/demand balance difficult to follow.
In such critical time the 19th International Iron Ore Symposium will focus on bringing industry heavyweights together to share their opinion on the future of the market. Known for the right mix of delegates from all of the supply chain from miners to steel producers; this conference will rightfully take place in Germany, one of the key destinations for iron ore products in Europe.
