Avery Weigh-Tronix (UK) – Weighing specialists Avery Weigh-Tronix have increased their focus on the Skip Weighing market by appointing Dave Middleton to the role of Business Development Manager for the UK and Europe.
Dave has a very strong background, with more than 20 years of experience in the Commercial Vehicle Sector, more than half of which has focussed specifically on the Municipal, Waste and Recycling Sectors for both Chassis and Body manufacturers.
Avery Weigh-Tronix has been manufacturing weighing systems in the UK for over 200 years, with a heavy focus on the waste market. The SureWeigh Class III trade approved Skip weighing system offers operators the option to maximise profit by charging by weight rather than volume.
Dave commented, “I’m very much looking forward to working with customers, new and old alike, in order to help them to maximise their operation. SureWeigh has the potential to change the way waste operators charge, with on the spot charging, fuel savings and no more concerns about overloading penalties leading to an altogether faster, cost effective transaction. SureWeigh offers to build better contractor, client relationships giving security, peace of mind and transparency when handling high value commodities such as metal, or asbestos. It is an exciting opportunity.”
The company also offers a range of other products and services suitable for the waste market, from weighbridges and axle weighing for a complete vehicle weighing solution, to forklift trucks which allow operators to simplify processes and access real-time information by weighing on the move.
With 200 technicians nationwide, Avery Weigh Tronix offers unrivalled calibration and maintenance services throughout the British Isles and beyond.
