Excell Precision Co., Ltd. (Taiwan) - EXCELL announced plans to expand its weighing scale production facility at its Taiwan manufacturing site due to ongoing US-China trade war tensions. EXCELL will move some of its scale production from China back to its Taiwan-based headquarter. The facility is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2019.
"The expansion comes from the trade friction between the US and China, which we expect will last for five to ten years. We have to rethink our prodution strategy. Besides, some of our clients are already expressing concerns over the effects of the US-China trade war,” said C.C. Lo, President and CEO at EXCELL.
"We are delighted to be able to expand our facility in New Taipei City, Taiwan. Through having additional capacity, and being able to make more products directly in Taiwan, we hope to be able to continue to provide the high quality products especially for our US customers, and to be able to meet increased demand in the future," said Jeff Chien, Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing at EXCELL.
As part of the expansion, EXCELL will extend the facility, increase its storage capacity and the install process equipment, and quality control equipment and tools.
