Troemner LLC (United States) - Performs various duties to set up and operate designated machines including manual and programmable machines. Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, verbal or written instructions, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements. Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills and lathes. Assists other employees as necessary with set ups and machining operations. Indicates stock in three or four jaw chucks. Maintains dimensions and tolerances. Cleans and deburrs parts. Able to tap, thread, bore and operate and set up manual and CNC lathes as necessary. Able to tap, bore and operate and setup manual and CNC mills as necessary. Able to operate and set up drill presses, saws, die heads and chasers and boring heads. Variety of less complicated programming abilities necessary using Master Cam and programs as necessary. Follows standard practices to adjust speeds and feeds. May edit CNC programs as necessary. Starts and observes machine operation to troubleshoot and detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls or control media as required. Performs minor repairs to machines, attachments, and tooling as authorized. Sets up and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data. Able to operate fork truck (if required). Able to use micrometers, gauges, bench devices, and power tools. Sharpens drills manually. Prepares, submits and maintains records and reports as necessary.
