Vetec Weighing & Radio Technology (Denmark) - Vetec published recently a series of videos showing their Mechanical Overload Switches for Hoists and Cranes.

On the next video you can watch Vetec's engineer showing how Vetec's mechanical overload switch is prepared for installation. The preparation only demands a few simple tools.

On the following video you can see How to install Vetec's Mechanical Overload Switch. The installation is easy, quick and precise and only demands a few simple tools. The switch is mounted on the dead-end of the wire rope.

On the third video of the series, you can watch Vetec's Mechanical Overload Switch in use. Vetec's engineer shows what happens when weight is added and the mechanical overload switch is activated. In this example the switch is activated at 1300kg. Note that the lamp is lit when the overload switch is not activated and turned off when it is activated. An opening to the spring makes it possible to follow the progress in weighing.

On the last video of the series, you can watch Vetec's engineer shows how to adjust the turnoff point so that the switch is now activated at a lower weight. The adjustment is easy and made with one simple tool.
