Silo weighing system for portable batch plant in Queensland
Accuweigh Pty Ltd. (Australia) - A Silo Weighing System was recently installed on a relocatable cement silo for use on short term construction projects in remote area of Queensland. Supplied by Accuweigh’s Brisbane branch, the Silo Weighing System comprised four heavy duty loadcells and a weatherproof digital weight indicator for a rated 20,000kg weighing capacity.

Accuweigh is Australia’s largest industrial weighing company and has extensive experience in the supply and fitting of loadcells to silos, tanks and large capacity hoppers to enable product to be weighed. In this client’s application, the need for the Silo Weighing System to be readily relocated required a specific loadcell type that can withstand the knocks and bumps encountered during relocations.

To further decrease potential load cell damage through rough handling during transit of the Silo Weighing System, each of the four loadcells have a weighing capacity of 25,000kg with a 150% safety overload factor and 300% ultimate overload factor. The large 4mV/V signal output from the overcapacity loadcells enables the Accuweigh IT1000 digital weight indicator to generate accurate weight readings.
