ESI Technology is made up of three sectors, ESI Technology providing pressure measurement solutions, TSM for strain gauges and Sigtel for radio telemetry systems.

Pressure Transducers & Transmitters:
ESI Technology designs and manufactures pressure transducers and transmitters for the aerospace, defence, oil & gas, medical, automotive, process and general industrial markets. Our customer base extends across the world, exporting 75% of our sales to more than 30 countries.

Early success came from designing transducers and transmitters for challenging military and aerospace applications. More recent success is due to the quality and performance of our Silicon-on-Sapphire sensing technology and its outstanding performance. Our comprehensive range of pressure transmitters and transducers incorporate this technology together with the latest digital signal processing. All products are rigorously tested to ISO9001 and Mil-I-45208 procedures and conform to CE requirements. Intrinsic safety certification is also available.

Our dedicated manufacturing facility based in Wrexham, UK, provides complete control over production, and we have made considerable financial investment in product development to ensure that we are a modern business at the cutting edge of our industry.

For more than 30 years we have served our customers with consistent product development, engineered solutions and excellent technical and sales support. Strain Gauges & Bonding:
TSM has been designing and manufacturing strain gauges and strain based sensors since 1959. We supply strain gauges for all applications in stress analysis and transducer work.

An extensive range of strain gauges are available as standard, together with comprehensive accessories and specially formulated adhesives for the trouble free preparation and bonding of precision strain gauges. As specialist designers, TSM can also customise and build to specific requirements.

All products at TSM are manufactured in the UK in our purpose built, air-conditioned unit, using the latest photolithography processes and micromachining techniques, all housed in three state-of-the-art clean rooms. All processes conform to ISO 9001-2000 procedures.

Our experience in the design and manufacture of precision strain gauges gives us a leading edge for customers requiring a strain gauge bonding and installation service. For more than 40 years we have been the market leader in the contract bonding of foil and semi- conductor strain gauges, both in-house or on-site. We have a team of BSSM qualified technicians working to BSSM, ISO 9001-2000 and MIL-I-45208 approved procedures.

Radio Telemetry Systems:
Since 1986, Sigtel has specialised in designing and building radio telemetry systems. We have identified the need throughout commerce and industry to transfer data between two or more points without the need for cables and have expanded our product range supplying many OEM’s, aerospace, process industries, water treatment/supply companies and other power utilities.

We offer a reliable, secure and cost effective method of wireless transmission of data from a few millimetres to over 20km using radio. Operating in licence free, deregulated frequencies, Sigtel can satisfy the majority of applications from simple single channel point to point links to multi-point systems, both sending and receiving data. All Sigtel products are microprocessor controlled and software driven. We supply off the shelf and custom designed systems, together with a complete range of accessories from solar panels to antennas.

We have a reputation for manufacturing high quality telemetry equipment, designed to function reliably in hostile environments and under arduous conditions throughout the world. All housings are weatherproof and rated to IP67.

Our philosophy at Sigtel is to offer the highest quality manufacture, but without unnecessary over-specification. As all design and build facilities are in-house, we offer total flexibility with control on costs, and pass these savings on to our customers.
