Bizerba (Germany) – “Small Software, Huge Impact”
Bizerba expands its portfolio of RetailApps. The EatABite, WeightCheck, and PaymentManager apps are available immediately. Thanks to their straightforward architecture and their integration into the RetailPowerScale software, the RetailApps support Bizerba customers in their efforts to quickly and straightforwardly meet new consumer requirements and current market situations. As usual, all RetailApps are exactly scalable depending on the required functionality, easing their implementation into existing installations.
For Uncomplicated Table Service: EatABite
Bizerba’s RetailApp EatABite is immediately available for snack bars and small gastronomic businesses. The ChecknBillSplit feature included in the RetailApp EatABite enables employees to capture and handle counter sales and table orders directly at the scale. Using the app, payment can be split by printing sales slips for tables or even individual persons. In addition, receipts can be printed separately without the time-consuming task of manually adding individual positions.
Counting Made Easy: WeightCheck
The RetailApp WeightCheck comes into play when quantities must be checked or calculated. For instance, the software uses the average weight of a single article to check if the entered quantity corresponds to the weight reported by the load platter (Check Quantity feature). This can be used in the self-service area of a bakery. Based on the average weight of a product, the additional Display Quantity feature can be used to determine how many pieces are put on the load platter of the scale. This comes in handy for large quantities like screws in a DIY store. The RetailApp WeightCheck can also consider tolerances and is able to automatically compute a minimum quantity.
Hygienic Payment: PaymentManager
Furthermore, Bizerba introduces an additional feature of its RetailApp PaymentManager. Using the CashManagement option, systems for handling cash can be connected to the scale solution in addition to EC card terminals. As an obvious advantage, employees do not have to touch bills and coins anymore, resulting in much more hygienic operating procedures. The system automatically counts the cash and returns the change to the customer.
