THAYER SCALE introduces the new Low Profile Cable Scale for Bucket Elevators
Thayer Scale-Hyer Industries, Inc. (USA) - Thayer Scale has developed a low profile, mass counterbalanced scale that has the unique proportions to support entire conveyor structures having lengths up to 30 feet and widths from 24 through 72 inches. Dead loading of up to 5,000 pounds can be accommodated on standard configurations without loss of net loading sensitivity.

The scale has been designed to support conveyors used throughout the processing industry that cannot easily accommodate a conventional conveyor belt scale, for example, bucket elevators, segmented conveyors, steel-belted conveyors, hinged plate conveyors, slat conveyors and even conventional rubber belt conveyors that are too short or have other restrictive features.

In addition the new scale will easily integrate within the existing footprint of the target conveyor, and require little additional vertical headroom – typically under 18”.

Used in combination with Thayer’s S52 line of instrumentation, the measurement of loading and speed can be used to produce an accurate measurement of the totalized throughput and gravimetric flow rate.
